How to use?

 

1. Prepare the Meter and Test Strip:

• Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. Dry them well.
• Insert a OneTouch Select test strip into the meter. The meter will automatically power on when the strip is inserted.

 

2. Set up the Lancing Device:

• Load a lancet (a small needle) into the lancing device.
• Adjust the lancing device to your desired depth. Most lancing devices allow you to adjust for a more or less painful puncture, depending on your skin type.

 

3. Clean the Finger:

• Use an alcohol wipe or wash your hands before testing to ensure they are clean. Let your hands dry if you use alcohol wipes.

 

4. Prick Your Finger:

• Use the lancing device to prick the side of your fingertip (avoiding the pad, where it’s more sensitive).
• Gently squeeze your finger to form a small drop of blood.

 

5. Apply Blood to the Test Strip:

• Touch the drop of blood to the edge of the test strip. The meter will draw the blood into the strip for testing.
